By Grace Divine - January 9, 1956

By grace Divine we reach the heights,
Above all sin and strife;
Above the sordid things, my dear,
That take the joy from life.
Why dwell in Egypt’s bondage here,
While Canaan beckons us?
Come, let us dwell in Canaan’s land,
Making God’s will a must.

By grace Divine we abhor sin,
And love God’s purity;
By grace Divine we all may have,
Peace and security.
By grace Divine we pour the oil,
Also we pour the wine;
To heal the hurts which sin has caused,
Inflicted on mankind.

By grace Divine, we walk with him,
As Enoch did of old;
And sit as Mary, near His feet,
For culture of the soul.
And when we come to cross the bar,
His grace shall then suffice;
To bear us safely to that home,
The place called paradise.
