The Path - January 14, 1956

Photo by: Vinson Mouser
There is a way that seemeth right,
But death is in its path;
To follow said path would but bring,
Upon us Divine wrath.
The narrow path, the path of love,
The path of holiness;
Shall bring us to that home above,
Where there is perfect bliss.

This path is marked so very plain,
And oft it has been proved;
By saints like Magdalene and Paul,
Who safely journeyed through.
We should not venture on a path,
That merely seems to be;
Lest death we should encounter, dear,
For all eternity.

The path which God has planned for us,
Is beautiful my friend;
And those who travel on this path,
Do not endulge in sin.
There is a path that seemeth right,
But death is waiting there;
Therefore, we need to always seek,
God's path by earnest prayer.
