Tragedy from Sin - January 12, 1956

He became King because of age,
The oldest son was he;
But shame be on the history,
He left for you and me.
His brothers were much better men,
The Bible tells us so: II Chron. 21:13
He killed them everyone, that he,
No fear from them should know.

He did not walk the narrow way,
That he might others bless;
His wife was that of Ahab's seed,
Sin was his constant quest.
Each day he added sin to sin,
And soon began to reap;
The tragedy which comes from sin,
That causes one to weep.

Soon his kingdom was over run,
And death was at his door;
He died condemned by God and man,
No one his death deplored.
As a fool dieth, so did he,
Jehorem was his name;
In hell he lifts his fruitless cries,
No one but self to blame.
