Sin has never built one thing,
To bless your soul and mine;
The only thing that sin can do,
Produce crime after crime.
Today it may be murder, and,
Tomorrow who can tell?
One thing is certain this we know,
Sin damns the soul in hell.
Sin hurts the body, soul and mind,
Its pay is death, my dear;
To sin against the living God,
Produces guilt and fear.
It makes a coward of each one,
Who dares God's law defy;
And oft to cover up their sins,
They tell lie after lie.
Christ Jesus died on Calvary,
To set us free from sin;
To make it possible for us,
The victory to win.
One sin will keep the soul from peace,
For all who do the wrong;
belong not to the Prince of Peace,
But to the broad-way throng.
