How wonderful to know, my dear,
That all who dwell in Him;
And bear the fruit of righteousness,
Shall shine as diadems.
God is the Husbandman we're told,
He purgeth every one;
Who dwells within the Vine, so true,
His own begotten Son.
But all who dwell in Him and fail,
To bear the fruit of joy;
The Husbandman shall take away,
And in the fire destroy.
Another scripture makes it plain,
As plain as it can be;
The fire is not just for a day,
But for eternity.
Come, let us bear the fruit of love,
And purity my friend;
God wants us to live noble lives,
Pure without, pure within.
And when the silver cord shall loose,
We come to cross the bar;
I know who then shall be so near,
The Bright and Morning Star.
