Delight thyself in Him, my
dear,
Who loves and cares for you;
Who sends the sunshine and
the rain,
Who gives the sparkling dew.
The desires of the heart
shall then,
Be fulfilled every one;
This is the promise of His
Word,
His promise shall be done.
How wonderful to know and
love,
The one who is Divine;
Who gives to us so many
things,
To bless the soul and mind.
When we delight ourselves in
Him,
Then every heart’s desire;
Shall be for grace to keep us
pure,
To set our souls afire.
No sinful thing can we
desire,
When we delight in God;
Who gives us comfort by His
staff,
And comforts by His rod.
How lovely and how beautiful,
Our lives can really be;
When we love Him and He loves
us,
The Christ of Galilee.
